It is Possible to Squirrel Proof Your Gutters!
Employ these three simple steps to keep squirrels out of your gutters!

If you live in an area with a few trees or on a heavily wooded lot, squirrels live there too. Like most pests and rodents, squirrels can cause major issues to your home. One of the most common ways a squirrel enters your home is through your roofing system and our gutter protection system can help prevent that!
Even the smallest crack or hole leading into your attic or siding can be a passageway for squirrels. Often, gutters hold acorns and pinecones that squirrels like to eat. You CAN stop squirrels from a dining on a smorgasbord, scuttling along your roof, chewing at fascia boards or decking, and limit the possibility that they’ll enter your roof or make their way into your walls! What can you do?
1.Install gutter covers to stop squirrels from snacking or nesting in open gutter spaces that will clog your gutter system. Check out our Leaf Defier Gutter Protection system.
2.Assess your roofline, overhangs, and headers. Fill in cracks and small holes, as necessary.
3.Trim back tree branches and bushes that provide a bridge to your roof. To prevent squirrels from jumping from a tree to your roof, trim the limbs back at least six feet from your home.
Remember, properly installed gutter covers won’t allow squirrels to find food or leaves for nesting, or a space for nesting, because they won’t be able to get into your gutters.
