How do seamless rain gutters work? Seamless gutters only have seams on the inside and outside corners of the gutter shaft. Each gutter system is formed from a single, flat piece of either aluminum, steel, or copper. The limited seams help protect against leaking or breakage and prevents wood rot behind the gutter line. With any run over 50’ or more we add an expansion joint.* It is a neoprene seal that we include (and warranty) to help with the expansion and contraction of the 100+ degree changes we receive in the PNW.

*Rainman installation standard is to install an expansion joint for any length of gutter exceeding 50 feet in length. Installing 26 ga. steel allows Rainman to extend this length but the opportunity still exists for the gutter to potentially oil can (crinkle) due to expansion and contraction. Rainman cannot warranty the product for this issue if the owner wishes to go this direction. We do believe using white steel gutter minimizes this possibility.
