Spring Gutter Cleaning
Tips for keeping your health and safety top of mind during Spring cleaning this year.

It is May in the year 2020 and our “normal” has changed drastically over the course of the last two months. With COVID-19 concerns around the country and the world, many of us are working from home, kids are out of school, programs, parties, and events are canceled, and routines are being shuffled and reshuffled to accommodate a new “normal” for the foreseeable future. It all may seem like a lot, but our actions and response now will help alleviate the impact of the virus and save lives.
At Rainman Seamless Rain Gutters, we want to make sure you know that we are here for you. This month you’ll start to see flower buds and greening grass, you’ll hear birds chirping along with the rumbling of lawn mowers, leaf blowers, etc. There’s always a renewed energy to tackle home projects during this time of year. Spring is a great natural reminder to check on your home’s gutters! Here’s what we recommend:
- Take an hour or two one sunny afternoon and do a perimeter walk. Look for dents, cracks, rusting, or places where the gutters are pulling or no longer fastened to your home.
- Grab a ladder (and make sure there is someone nearby to spot you) and peer in each of your gutter lines.
- Make note of your downspouts and drainage paths.
- Bonus: This blog offers specific tips for cleaning your gutters.
During your perimeter walk and assessment, did you notice any issues? If so, tackle the easiest to rectify issues first. Refasten anything loose and remove all debris! If you notice something that you can’t remedy on your own, give the crew at Rainman Seamless Rain Gutters a call. We’re available to help you get your gutters ready to handle rain, sleet, hail, or wind in the months ahead.
If you’re nervous about seeking professional gutter help at this time, please know that our crews at Rainman Seamless Rain Gutters are following precautions and procedures we put in place to make sure we are serving you to the best of our ability with health and safety in mind:
- We exercise appropriate space and distancing to you and your family when working on your home. Social distancing promotes a space of 6 feet or more.
- We can email estimates, schedule reminders, and complete most other administrative tasks such as billing services via technology.
- We are continually cleaning our office workspace, storage facility, and tools.
