What is installation like?
At Rainman Seamless Rain Gutters, depending on roof design and location of doors, vent pipes, etc., we recommend two rows of snow breaks on metal roofs. One row will work but that can be a lot of weight in one area (the lowest row of snow break is located over the outside load-bearing wall of your home), In most installs, the pitch of the roof has a significant impact on the quantity and location of each row of snow break. Installers use self-sealing screws on the top and bottom of every snow break rib, so the final appearance is aesthetically pleasing, as well as efficient and effective.
When should I schedule my snow break installation?
It is best to install snow break systems during the Spring and Summer months, far before the first freeze or snowfall hits. Act fast to get on the installation schedule!
If you have questions about the snow break systems we offer, reach out. There are other companies and other estimates, but there is only one Rainman Seamless Rain Gutters. Contact Rainman Seamless Rain Gutters today to schedule your free local estimate.
Are there several types of snow breaks available?
Our crews will work hard to get your snow break in place and can install both Custom-Bilt Metals and RSP Metal colors. If you’re looking to do the job yourself, we do offer self-installation kits and tips. Simply purchase the materials and the install is on you.
Snow Break vs. Snow Guard
You may have heard of a product called Snow Guard. A snow guard is a much smaller device meant to anchor ice and snow to certain points on the roof. In comparison, the two products do much of the same to protect your home from ice jams and snow buildup, but in our experience, a snow break works best on metal roofs. At Rainman Seamless Rain Gutters, we only install the snow break variety.
