Rainwater Harvest (RWH) Systems

Rainwater collection and storage for non-potable water.

Rainwater Harvesting (RWH) is a new and exciting system used to collect rainwater off your roof for use in irrigating yards and gardens, filling the pool or washing the car.

In the State of Washington, rain barrels for ornamental and minimal amounts of water do not require permits.  There are rules and regulations being developed to manage rainwater catchment systems.  The Washington State Department of Ecology is in the process of defining these rules. Many states are working to capture this water runoff when it makes sense to do so.

Until these rules are defined, rain barrels can be a great way to capture water for outside watering of plants and general use such as washing your car.  For these systems to work properly, a system needs to be designed and implemented that not only captures the most of the available water, but also provides usable water.

A working system needs to be designed with properly installed seamless rain gutters, downspouts, a leaf and needle protection product like LeafDefier to keep the larger debris out of the system, rain barrels to match your home or function and other accessories.

We are a dealer for RainHarvest Systems, a leading supplier of barrels, tanks and accessories for collecting and using rainwater.
